Well ..... after a massive gap in blog posting ... we're back!!! Software changes and glitches prevented updates for over a year so there's a lot to catch up on.
The main thing is that we've been very busy in the last 12 months: it's not particularly obvious from the website because many of our walks and walking breaks are privately organised but, for example, we have done a series of walks for Saga, several corporate walks and a large number of walks in the Forest with passengers from cruise ships docking at Southampton.
Our own Fuzzacker weekends have been a success again with 2 forest weekends (spring and autumn) and a Jurassic Coast extravaganza. We have been very lucky with the weather and even luckier with the lovely people that come on our walks - some we've met for the first time  and others have been coming regularly for the past ten years or so.

2018 looks very promising with lots of walks already in the diary and we're very enthusiastic about the new GO New Forest company which has taken over from (or "absorbed") the New Forest Tourism Association as we feel it could help us promote Fuzzacker as well as enable us to work with other tourist attractions and businesses. I am hopeful that we can set up a series of regular walks e.g weekly that people can come on at short notice.

The team remains the same: Steve, Richard, Theresa and Sarah but we have a new guide in the form of Di, a volunteer ranger colleague of Steve's, who fits in really well. A large part of why our walks are so successful is because all of us work or are involved closely with the forest in some form or other and care deeply about its future and well-being.

So ... apologies about the long break in posting news in this form but I hope to keep much more up to date now and also have a more dynamic website and FB page. Maybe I can get the others to post a blog from time to time if I ask them nicely ...
Here's to 2018! Cheers
